I was in an accident. Where do I begin? Call
us at 847-658-6611
We work with all major insurance companies to get
your vehicle repaired back to its pre-accident condition. Some of
the companies have us write the estimates on their behalf, while
others prefer to write the estimate themselves. Regardless of
the procedure, the choice of where to have your vehicle repaired is
yours, and Quality Werks Collision Center will work with your
insurance company!
After you receive your estimate, we will schedule your vehicle in
for repairs. If you need a rental while your vehicle is being
repaired we can handle that on premises (see
"Car Rental" section).
How long will my car be in the
shop?
This is everyone’s first question
and the hardest one to answer. Repair time depends on several
factors. Some of the more critical factors are parts availability,
additional damage (hidden damage) and insurance company procedure.
The average repair cost is currently $2,000; these repairs are
scheduled in on Monday and typically delivered on Friday.
Who do I pay my deductible to?
Your deductible is paid to Quality Werks when you
pick up your vehicle.
Do I need to get three
estimates?
No. Normally your insurance
company, or one of their designated shops, will look at your car and
provide you with an estimate. After receiving your estimate, go to
the shop of your choice.
Will my vehicle be returned to
me in its pre-accident condition?
At Quality Werks, our number one
goal is to repair your vehicle to its pre-accident condition as
quickly as possible. Our technical staff is highly trained and
regularly attends continuing education classes. Quality Werks is
proud to be I-CAR GOLD CERTIFIED.
Will the paint match?
Quality Werks has the latest in
computerized paint mixing systems. This enables us to match any
variation in your car’s color. To keep their skills fine tuned, our
technicians continue their education through I-CAR and our paint
manufacturers ongoing technical training.
The amount of your estimate is
different from the insurance company’s estimate. Am I responsible
for the difference?
Variance in amounts usually lies
in hidden damage, which is reported to your insurance company.
Quality Werks will work with all the major insurance companies and
their estimates, normally eliminating you from any monetary
contribution above and beyond your deductible if applicable.
How long should I wait to wash
or wax my vehicle following repairs?
You could wash your car
immediately. We recommend hand washing; if hand washing is not
possible use a soft cloth car wash. Paint manufacturers
recommend waiting 90 days before applying wax over fresh paint.
